It’s never too late.
It’s never too late to go back to school. It’s never too late to start your own business. It’s never too late to start a family. It’s never too late to fix a broken a relationship. It’s never too late to accomplish your goals.
I had the honor of listening to Chef Jeff Henderson this week, while attending a conference in Palm Springs, CA. He’s a former drug dealer and ex-con, turned celebrity chef, best-selling author, public speaker, television personality, philanthropist and CEO. Upon his release from prison, he was the first African-American Executive Chef at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. He found his chef calling and honed his skills while being incarcerated for 10 years in the late 80s and early 90s – and he’s never been to culinary school. He used all of his pre-incarceration hustling skills to create his post-incarceration brand, and all he had to do was change his product.
Time is finite, and what you do now is what will determine your future. Stop putting things on the back burner. Stop allowing your surroundings to hold you back. Stop letting people deter your dreams. If you want it…go get it.
“The future is always beginning now.”
