Every Monday morning, I post a motivational message for the week. Oftentimes, people will follow-up and ask me to interpret it for them and how it can be applied to their life – and with that “Translation Tuesday” was born. Every Tuesday, I will share with you what I believe the Monday Morning Motivation message means for you and your life.
What comes first, the chicken or the egg?
It’s a question that can be answered in two ways. But if I was to ask you, “what comes first, the work or the money?”, you’d say work. The hard work you put in on the job, is rewarded by the money your employer pays you. And in some instances, the harder the work, the more money you can make.
Most people who are hard workers, have a passion for what they do. That passion is what drives them day in and day out, but it’s that same passion that would also push them irrespective of what they are paid.
Money is subjective. Only you can determine how much money you want, or how much money you are worth.
In looking at the world’s richest people, the list is filled with people whose rise to fame was the result of the passion they have for the industry they are in. Most of them are self-made billionaires, who followed something close to their heart, despite the naysayers – and look at them now. They are also people who are associated with causes bigger than themselves. That’s passion.
Passion is that feeling of deep desire and interest you have for something. I can’t tell you how to find your passion, because that is subjective too. But I can tell you that passion leads to hard work, and hard work leads to money. When you find your passion, you need to chase it – and the money will follow.
“Stop chasing the money and start chasing the passion.”
