I was initiated into Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in the spring of 1999. As a neophyte, I spent a great deal of time and money repping my frat. I had all the tees, all the canes, all the keychains, decals, etc.
But one of the things that always bothered me was when I saw older brothers in the fraternity rocking paraphernalia that was never that stylish. We all remember those tees with quotes like “The men of Krimson and Kreme will make the ladies scream”!!!
Fast forward years later, and we now have options that allow us to wear our letters in a business casual and/or workplace environment and still be stylish. I know most of us still have our standard collection of greek wear that we’ve all come to know and love, but these new options bring in the current state of fashion and are adopted to fit the members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
I rock my collegiate 1911 sweater on casual days. The sweater itself is creme with crimson lettering. I match that up with a pair of crimson chinos and a crimson and white gingham shirt underneath. I top off this outfit with a crimson bubble vest. The dad hat is optional.
Style is a way of showing who you are without having to speak.
